At the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Bonn, the W2 Professorship for Specialized Surgical and Conservative Gynecological Oncology will be filled at the earliest opportunity on a permanent basis at the Department of Gynecology and Gynecological Oncology.
The future job holder is to represent the field in its full breadth within research, teaching, and medical treatment, along with duties as a senior physician at the University Hospital Bonn. The department is integrated as a department into the Center for Obstetrics and Gynecology, which also includes the Departments of Obstetrics and Prenatal Medicine, Gynecological Endocrinology and Reproductive Medicine, and Senology.
Responsibilities include:
- Extensive surgical expertise in treating advanced malignant gynecological tumors, evidenced by an outstanding surgical procedures catalog.
- Corresponding expertise in necessary systemic therapies and experience in the field of clinical trials.
- Designing and conducting clinical trials and strengthening interdisciplinary collaboration within the Center for Integrated Oncology CIO Bonn.
- Successful acquisition and implementation of competitive third‑party funded projects.
Qualifications required:
- Completed a university degree in medicine.
- Doctorate and a relevant habilitation in gynecological oncology or evidence of equivalent academic achievements.
- Qualification as a medical specialist in gynecology and obstetrics and subspecialty certification in gynecological oncology.
- Extensive experience in this field.
- Experience in teaching in accordance with section 36 of the Higher Education Act of North Rhine-Westphalia (Hochschulgesetz NRW).
