Java Backend Developer (Remote OK)

We are looking backend developers with cloud engineering experience working with services

What you will do:

• Participate in full project lifecycle development
• Code, test, debug and document technical assignments.
• Analyze and recommend technologies

Qualifications.

• 5-7 years experience Java, HTML and Javascript development on internal and external facing web platforms.
• Understanding of REST, Spring and Spring Boot
• Experience in full project lifecycle development and the use of Trello

As part of the Backend Team, the backend engineer will be contributing to the platform building new features and capabilities that scale for our millions of users. The role includes developing new web services, building real time data pipelines.

Skills we look for:

• Proficiency with Java, Garbage Collection Systems, Multi-threading is a must.
• Ability to write build scripts or stand up web servers with scripting languages like bash, python, ruby etc.
• Experience with Linux and its command-line tools.
• Can work in large-scale, complex, cross-functional projects.
• Work with distributed teams in a collaborative and productive manner.
• Solid knowledge of data structures and algorithms, object-oriented programming
• Develops web applications in Java
• Develops existing and new projects
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Having solid knowledge and experience in Java, NOSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB
• APIs, webservices
• Hibernate, SQL, Web Services (REST, SOAP), Spring boot, Spring MVC, Spring 4.0
• Understanding of Web/Application servers like JBoss
• Good in communication skills as work would span across cross geographical locations
