Purpose of the Role
The primary purpose of this role is to drive sales of government-focused training courses by generating delegate revenue across multiple events. The Delegate Sales Campaign Representative will play a key role in ensuring each event meets or exceeds its revenue targets by actively selling to the public sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve Delegate Sales Targets: Consistently meet or exceed attendance and revenue goals for each government training event, as set by the General Manager ANZ / Head of Sales.
- Event Expertise: Develop a deep understanding of each training course, including the target government audience, event purpose, key speakers, and core issues addressed.
- Tailored Messaging: Craft compelling and relevant value propositions for each event, ensuring the messaging is aligned to the needs and interests of the public sector audience, and delivered via appropriate channels (phone, email, text, or social media).
- Targeted Campaign Execution: Build and execute strategic outreach plans that target the right audience—based on job function, seniority, department, and geographic location within government.
- Activity & Pipeline Management: Effectively manage daily sales activity to consistently create new opportunities. Prioritize tasks based on event timelines, pipeline requirements, and follow-up schedules.
- Sales Process Compliance: Follow the established sales process with discipline and consistency to ensure optimal results.
- CRM Utilization: Keep CRM systems up-to-date with accurate lead and sales data, including marketing-sourced and self-sourced opportunities.
- Feedback & Collaboration: Provide insightful feedback to project teams based on both quantitative results and qualitative insights to improve campaign planning and audience targeting.
- Stakeholder Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong working relationships with key government contacts, event sponsors, and strategic partners.
Desired skills and Behavioural Traits:
•1-2 years of B2B sales preferred; delegates sales experience is desired
•Knowledge of experience with Microsoft Excel, Google search and LinkedIn
•Highly organised with a proven ability to manage their time to meet deadlines and targets
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•Ability to maintain a professional and positive attitude and work independently with little guidance
