Position Summary:
Zend Professional Services at Perforce is searching for a Professional Services Engineer to join the team. This role serves as a subject matter expert and a trusted advisor to clients, delivering advanced technical solutions and ensuring successful implementation of complex projects. It involves collaborating with clients to understand their needs, architecting tailored solutions, coordinating as appropriate with other departments in Perforce, and leading teams to deploy and optimize services effectively. The position requires extensive technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and the ability to build strong client relationships.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of delivering large-scale, complex projects in a client-facing environment.
  • Proficiency in systems integration, architecture design, and performance analysis and optimization.
  • Strong programming or scripting experience (e.g., Python, Java, Bash) and ability to develop integrations with other systems
  • Expertise in specific technologies relevant to the industry, e.g., cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), DevOps tools, networking, security, etc.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in English and at least one of the following languages: Italian, French or German.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) in specific technologies, products, or services.
  • Work directly with enterprise customers to understand their requirements, provide technical recommendations, and ensure successful project delivery.
  • Serve as the primary technical resource and trusted advisor during pre-sales and post- sales engagements as needed.
  • Design scalable, innovative, and robust solutions tailored to client needs.
  • Able to problem-solve in sometimes pressurized and fast paced situations, providing a calm reassuring presence and managing conflicting requirements.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, product management, and support, to ensure client success. Provide guidance on product requirements, integration needs for the benefit of clients and Perforce.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers and contribute to development of best practices, documentation and reuseable templates for future engagements.
