Who we are
Othersphere identifies the most profitable and sustainable locations for deployment of energy-intensive infrastructure. Our software platform tightly integrates energy systems modeling, geospatial analytics, and generative AI to enable:
Faster deployment of more beneficial projects
Democratized access to critical market insights
Reduced long-term GHG emissions trajectories
Our early development funding and support was provided byBreakthrough Energy andGoogle for Startups, followed by equity investment from leading climate-focused investors. Othersphere is incorporated as a Benefit Company, and we seek candidates with a personal commitment to fairness, humility, curiosity, and passion for positive impact—values that are central to our mission. We are committed to representation and inclusion, and we welcome applicants with diverse perspectives and backgrounds.
Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Diligence Manager with 4+ years of relevant experience. You will work closely with everyone on our cross-functional team, with focus on:
Analysis review & validation: Pressure-testing and validating Othersphere’s AI-generated infrastructure site diligence assessments (see here for an example excerpt). You will critically evaluate arguments, spot logical inconsistencies, and ensure the draft conclusions meet a high standard of commercial and technical accuracy.
Process scaling: As our AI capabilities advance and report generation time drops further, this role is expected to scale. You will help build out, train, and eventually manage a team of junior reviewers.
Strategic expansion: Over time, your work could also broaden into the development and production of new sector coverage and new product lines.
This is a unique role working on a groundbreaking product, and so in turn we recognize there is no singular pattern for an ideal candidate. Succeeding in this role will likely require a mixture of analytical background in energy/industry, critical mindset, and endless curiosity. We’d be excited to hear from you if that sounds like a fit.
Our responsibilities
We seek to build and maintain an exciting and inclusive working culture where you feel safe expressing who you are, making you feel valued and respected, and giving you an opportunity to thrive. In service of meeting these goals, we provide:
Freedom to make decisions on both day-to-day deliverables and long-term direction
The tools you need to get the job done
A friendly and highly collaborative team who will work with you to answer questions and help get you un-blocked as quickly as possible
We maintain core team overlap hours between 8am and 11am PT, but outside of that you are welcome to manage your day as you see fit
Regular feedback to help you grow in your role as quickly as possible, and a team of colleagues always open to hearing your feedback and insights
Compensation and benefits
Othersphere provides competitive compensation and company equity commensurate with experience, and an excellent benefits package. The salary range for this role is $115,000 to $150,000 Canadian dollars. This is envisioned as a full-time employee role, but contract-to-hire pathways can also be explored.
We are a remote-first organization headquartered in British Columbia, Canada, with team members in Europe and a global customer base. For this role we are considering applicants from around the globe, however we have moderate preference for candidates in Canada, particularly in eastern time zones.
