about this role

Minimum qualifications(5+ years):

• Proven experience in designing, running and troubleshooting large scale systems operating in multiple regions
  • with relational databases(must)
  • with Kubernetes (must)
• Proven experience in automation and configuration management
• Strong familiarity with Linux/Unix based systems
• Hands on experience with one of the Cloud Platforms : GCP, Azure, AWS
• Good understanding of Network Design and principles
  • TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP(S), LoadBalancing, WAF, Edge caching
• Previous experience in an operations or engineering role
• Coding experience in one of the languages: Go(preferred) or Rust or Python. Experience with shell scripting

key tasks and deliverables

Key responsibilities:

• Develop, improve and maintain Ory Cloud Infrastructure:
  • Tooling and automation for operation processes such as cluster management, application deployment, DNS management, Load balancer management, real-time traffic management etc.
  • CI/CD pipelines including the release
  • Internal, technical documentation for infrastructure and operations
  • Internal observability tooling
  • Security tooling
  • Tests (performance, stability, regression, end to end)
• Contribute to improving infrastructure reliability, availability, scalability and security
• Contribute to our Ory Network and Ory Enterprise Products
• Participate in on-call rotations (shifts)
• Participate in incident management processes
  • Contribute to identifying root causes and implementing fixes
• Foster the DevOps principles and practices, promote the DevOps approach among other engineers and team members
• Contribute to our Open Source projects and our team's Software Development Life Cycle
