The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Business Development Manager (BDM) to drive growth across California, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington (ideally based in California).

This is a high-impact role with plenty of autonomy. You’ll build strong relationships with architects, designers, contractors, and homeowners, helping them create elevated outdoor spaces.

If you’re motivated by sales growth, building long-term partnerships, and shaping the future of outdoor living, this role is for you.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop new business opportunities and strengthen existing accounts
  • Deliver outstanding customer service to B2C and B2B clients
  • Build trusted relationships with architects, designers, and general contractors
  • Represent Terra Summer at trade shows, events, and client meetings
  • Create and execute a territory sales plan to exceed targets
  • Track trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback
  • Maintain a strong sales pipeline with accurate forecasting

What You Bring

  • 10+ years of successful sales experience (manufacturing, B2B distribution, or related fields)
  • Proven record of exceeding sales targets and growing accounts
  • Strong business development and territory management expertise
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Independent, self-motivated, and results-driven
  • Comfortable using CRM and MS Office tools
  • Willingness to travel regularly within the territory (including overnight stays)
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
