We are currently seeking a SAP S/4HANA BASIS Consultant (REMOTE) to join our team in Mexican Republic, México (MX-MEX), Mexico (MX).

SAP S/4HANA BASIS Consultant

REMOTE

Day to Day job Duties: (what this person will do on a daily/weekly basis)

1. Automation of routine manual processes will be key to increase operational efficiency and reduce data obscurity

2. Experience in Leading and drives solution discussions both with business and other IT personnel

3. Experience in designing and developing interfaces between SAP and non-SAP

4. Manage OS/DB/Platform/Cloud migrations, with experience in at least 2 to 3 projects

5. Full life-cycle SAP implementations experience using a recognized methodology.

6. Provide expertise in SAP Business Suite (ERP, SRM, CRM, PLM, APO), NetWeaver stack (AS-Java), and BOBJ administration, including performance management, client/system refreshes, and other Basis tasks

7. Aadvise customers on the optimal and efficient execution of SAP migrations, implementations, and operations on Public/Private Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.)

8. Deliver Basis support for S/4 HANA, C/4, BW/4 HANA conversions, upgrades, migrations, RISE and OS/DB conversions

9. Experience with Azure or other Hyperscalers and any related certifications

10.Provide high-level DBA and SAP Basis support for HANA DB, including implementation, upgrade, administration, operations, and performance management

11. Installing and configuring SAP S/4HANA, Fiori, PO, SAP CPI, Cloud Connector, Solution Manager, and Data Hub solutions within major cloud IaaS platforms

12. Strong knowledge on S4/HANA, Fiori, and Integration between SAP & non-SAP systems

13. Tuning SAP performance and optimizing system performance for SAP S/4HANA, SAP HANA databases, and cloud-based environments

14. Understanding End2End processes and provide recommendations for possible improvements

15. Supporting technical architecture and development teams in their development tasks and solutions to meet the needs of the customers with Migrations and Upgrades

16. Ability to lead discussions, present ideas and complex technical content to audiences of all sizes, and interact with client management and users from multiple countries

17. Administer the SAP database with Database Administrator (plan and perform database upgrades, apply database maintenance, design and maintain physical database layout, perform database reorganizations, design and implement backup and restore strategy, maintain database security, administer database performance, manage database storage, database problem determination and resolution, etc.).

18. Perform SAP client administration (create client, copy client, delete client, export/import client) as required.

19. Participate in the planning and implementation of SAP system upgrades.

20. Manage all non-HANA DB administration and operations (Oracle, MSSQL, Sybase, MaxDB), with a minimum of 2 non-HANA DB exposures.

21. Contributing to the SAP Technology Practice by reinvesting in practice development efforts and contributing towards SAP solutions and offerings

22. Showcasing expertise in cloud infrastructure architecture, including compute, storage, networking, and designing solutions for high availability, disaster recovery, and monitoring

23. Developing SAP S/4HANA technical architecture and cloud hosting strategies within hybrid IT and multi-cloud landscapes

24. Designing and deploying SAP solutions on major public cloud IaaS platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)

25. Provide implementation consulting for Single Sign-On solutions in SAP landscapes, including HANA and BOBJ.

26. Lead ad-hoc meetings for customer delivery and drive continuous improvement in SAP technology services

Others:

  • Support our clients as SAP basis expert with thorough understanding of the latest SAP technology, tools, and architecture
  • Identify, assesses, and solves complex SAP technology problems
  • Perform system-wide analysis regarding the allocation of enterprise application technology and performance
  • Develop analysis of technology architecture design in coordination with designers, architects, developers, and business analysts
  • Assist in creating and modifying strategies, resolve problems and document issues and resolutions
  • Ability to communicate technical issues, plans and solutions from both a business perspective and a technical perspective providing pros and cons for recommended solutions
  • Manages small-medium sized teams and/or work efforts at a client
  • Provide production support for implemented SAP S/4HANA Solution
  • Perform HANA and BASIS support on SAP S/4HANA and provide issue resolutions for customer reported problems
  • Perform testing for solutions delivered by the BASIS teams
  • Follow approved processes and executes tasks (support and monitoring)
  • Understanding of functionality and expected solution and resolutions
  • Interface with software package vendor and other module consultants for issue resolution regarding standard functionality, technical solution
  • Must possess a broad knowledge of all SAP applications, particularly touchpoints and integrations between different SAP modules and interfaces
  • Perform root cause analysis, solution identification and implementation and be responsible for solution quality and SLA Adherence for issues handled

Basic Qualifications: (what are the skills required to this job with minimum years of experience on each)

  • Requires +10 years of experience in SAP S/4 HANA and SAP ECC Basis experience
  • 1 SAP implementation full life-cycle experience
  • Bilingual English/Spanish

Travel:This position requires someone who can travel to Guadalajara.

Degree: Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent work experience

Nice to Have; (But not a must)

  • SAP Activate knowledge, training and/or SAP certification
