You’ll resolve escalated issues, manage configurations across modules, build and maintain integrations through Ethos and Data Connect, and keep the platform running smoothly day to day. Working closely with the Administrator III, you’ll grow into deeper platform ownership while mentoring the Administrator I.

Role and Responsibilities:

Configuration & Escalation Resolution

Serve as the primary escalation point for complex Banner issues, owning configuration management across Student, Finance, HR, and Financial Aid modules.

  • Resolve complex Banner issues escalated from Administrator I and functional teams.
  • Manage module configuration changes with proper testing, documentation, and rollback planning.
  • Lead testing and validation efforts during Ellucian SaaS release cycles and configuration changes.
  • Monitor and optimize job scheduling, automation workflows, and batch processes.

  • Troubleshoot integration failures, monitor error rates, and resolve data sync issues.
  • Collaborate with the data team to ensure accurate data feeds to downstream systems (e.g., Snowflake environments).

Experience & Platform Support

Support the day-to-day operations of Ellucian Experience and platform extensibility under the guidance of the Administrator III.

  • Assist with Experience dashboard configuration, card management, and user role assignments.
  • Support low-code extensibility efforts and test institution-specific customizations.
  • Help assess and implement new platform features delivered through continuous SaaS updates.

Security, Compliance & Documentation

Manage Banner security architecture and maintain documentation aligned with compliance standards.

  • Oversee Banner security roles, classes, and access governance controls.
  • Maintain architectural and process documentation aligned with FERPA, GLBA, and institutional compliance standards.
  • Support disaster recovery testing and audit remediation efforts.

Collaboration & Mentorship

Partner with institutional departments and vendors to optimize system functionality. Provide mentorship to Administrator I, building skill development across Ethos, Data Connect, and Experience.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
