We partner with ambitious companies across sectors to place experienced professionals in roles where they can have a real impact. On behalf of a client in our partner network, we are currently looking for a Value Creation Manager to join their team.
About the Company
Our client is a London-based mid-market private equity firm with £1.8bn AUM, focused on buyout investments in the healthcare, education, and business services sectors. With a portfolio of 10 active investments and a strong track record of operational value creation, they are building a dedicated Operating Team to work alongside management at portfolio companies and drive measurable improvement. This is a newly created role within a growing team.
The Role
As Value Creation Manager, you will work directly with portfolio company leadership teams to identify and deliver value creation initiatives spanning commercial growth, operational efficiency, and strategic positioning. You will act as an extension of the investment team, bringing analytical rigour and implementation capability to the companies in the portfolio.
What You'll Do
Conduct rapid operational and commercial diagnostics across portfolio companies to identify the highest-value improvement opportunities.
Design and lead implementation of value creation initiatives, including revenue growth, cost reduction, pricing, and operational improvement programmes.
Work closely with portfolio company management teams to build capability and ensure delivery of agreed targets.
Track value creation progress and report to the investment team and Board on performance against plan.
Support new deal evaluation by contributing operational and commercial due diligence perspectives.
What We're Looking For
5–8 years of experience in management consulting (top-tier preferred) or a value creation / operational improvement role within private equity.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to quickly diagnose issues and build evidence-based improvement cases.
Comfortable working alongside senior management teams, bringing both challenge and support.
Hands-on by nature, willing to get into the details of operations rather than staying at a strategic level.
Sector experience in healthcare, education, or business services is an advantage.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary of £95,000 – £120,000, depending on experience.
Carried interest participation from the current fund.
Annual bonus with a fund performance component.
Private health cover, pension, and 27 days holiday.
