United States onlyThe Senior Mainframe Engineer role will be expected to design, implement, maintain, and improve Navy Federal mainframe systems. Configure and troubleshoot unique operating system and system software and tools. Ensure the smooth operation of our systems and develop new features and functionality to support business needs. Work under minimal supervision and use complete understanding of business needs and objectives to support projects that have impact on the achievement of operational goals. Advanced skill set and proficiency with procedures and techniques. The Senior Mainframe Engineer provides guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, leads resolution of complex technical challenges, and partners with architecture and infrastructure stakeholders to align mainframe strategy with enterprise objectives. This role requires expertise in evolving mainframe & industry technologies to proactively drive adoption of industry best practices, tooling, and modernization approaches within Navy Federal’s mainframe environment.
