Position Summary:

As a Centurion Secured Tier 3 Analyst (Technical) you will play a crucial role in safeguarding the digital assets of Community Partners and Customers serviced by Centurion Secured by providing a more senior perspective to events identified y Tier 1 Analyst and works with Tier 2 Analysts to defining better feedback processes between Tier 1 Analysts and senior analysts.

As a Centurion Secured Tier 3 Analyst you will also be responsible for reviewing and providing feedback for less senior roles such as Tier 1 and Analyst in training. A Centurion Secured Tier 3 Analyst (Technical) is responsible for working with other Tier 3 Analysts to collect the necessary reporting metrics requested by the SOC Manager.

$25.00

4 Hours / Week

Job Duties:

Investigate and analyze security related events escalated from Tier 2 Analysts to determine the security relevance of reported events and the organizational impact and provide feedback to the Tier 1 analyst and Analyst in-training roles on ticket content.

Escalate tickets to the SOC manager that meets the standards expected of the Centurion Secured Program.

Collect and maintain metrics for various areas of the Centurion Secured program.

Required Qualifications:

1. Working towards a bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.

2. At least 0-3 years of experience working in a cybersecurity role, preferably in a Security Operations Center (SOC) environment.

3. Proficiency in analyzing security logs, network traffic, and other sources of security telemetry to identify and investigate potential threats.

4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex situations and make sound decisions under pressure.

5. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

6. Professional certifications such as CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst CySA+ and or iSC2 Certified in Cybersecurity, CompTIA Security+.

7. In-depth understanding of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and best practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

2. Experience with incident response methodologies and tools, including digital forensics techniques.

3. Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for task automation and analysis.

4. Knowledge of cloud security principles and experience securing cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).

5. Hands-on experience with SIEM platforms and other security tools.

6. Previous experience with the Centurion Secured Program.
