Lead Data Engineer

As a Lead Data Engineer, you will architect and build scalable, high-performance data pipelines that power fraud detection systems used by some of the world’s largest banks and retailers.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and enrichment
• Implement automated data validation and data quality frameworks
• Partner closely with data scientists on feature engineering and data enablement workflows
• Optimize performance, scalability, and cost across both cloud and on-premise environments
• Lead client-facing discussions around data architecture, integrations, and best practices
• Mentor junior engineers and champion engineering standards and best practices

Technology Stack

Languages & Frameworks: Go, Python, Scala, Spark, Hadoop

Data & Analytics: Airflow, dbt, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift

Cloud Platforms: AWS, GCP, Azure

Tooling: Prefect, Dagster, Terraform

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Strong hands-on experience with distributed data processing frameworks (Spark, Hadoop)
• Proficiency in Python, Go, or Scala
• Experience working with modern data stacks and orchestration tools
• Bonus: Experience building ML pipelines and working with feature stores
