About The RoleWe are a fast-growing company operating in the hemato-oncology space, seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data Research Trainee to join our team in Malaysia. This is an exceptional opportunity for life sciences graduates who are fluent in Chinese and passionate about clinical research, data analytics, and the Chinese pharmaceutical market.
You will play a key role in supporting our oncology medical affairs by curating, translating, and interpreting data from Chinese-language sources. Through this role, you will gain deep exposure to drug development pipelines, clinical trials, and R&D strategies in the oncology and hematology fields.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct online and database research on oncology-related developments, primarily from Chinese-language sources.
- Support business analysts by curating and structuring data from medical, scientific, regulatory, and market access domains.
- Translate Chinese research and documents into English to support non-Chinese speaking teams.
- Solve ad-hoc information queries related to Chinese datasets, publications, and market intelligence.
- Maintain up-to-date trackers and reports of drug pipelines, trial statuses, regulatory news, and scientific publications.
- Assist with data entry and quality control for internal databases and dashboards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across multiple time zones.
- Language Proficiency: Fluent in Chinese (Mandarin) - reading and writing skills are essential.
- Education: Degree or current enrolment in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Biomedical Sciences, or related fields.
- Experience: 0-2 years of internship, academic research, or industry exposure (market research, pharmaceutical, or consulting sectors preferred).
- Knowledge Base: Basic understanding of clinical trials, drug development, and

- Soft Skills: Analytical thinker, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
