Overview

The position will be a strategic leader responsible for driving whole Kemin China business strategy development and execution, expanding our market share across Agrifood, aquaculture, animal nutrition, the human nutrition and human food technology industries. The position will lead sales and marketing team to deliver KCG vision, achieve sales and gross margin targets. He will be responsible for building up and developing the team, providing strategic direction and sales action plan guidance in key customer accounts, coordinating sales and marketing programs, and maximizing the sales and customer service processes for products of Kemin.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute Kemin China business strategy that align with the KCG's long-term goals and industry trends.
  • Achieve consistent growth in sales and gross margin. This including develop annual sales budget, break down sales targets to different business line and individual territories based on market knowledge, managing the collective expenses of the sales team to meet expense budgets.
  • Build and lead a high-performing sales and marketing team, providing mentorship, coaching, and professional development opportunities.
  • Establish clear performance metrics and regularly review team progress against objectives. Manage the sales activities and sales projects by utilizing various tools, including Nexa, sales reporting analysis.
  • Direct responsibility for calling on key customers. In addition, will be supporting the sales team members in making sales calls and complete customer events.
  • Assist the sales team with management of sales projects, allocation of resources, and clearing of hurdles that may hinder the effectiveness of the sales team.
  • Oversee the creation and execution of marketing campaigns that enhance brand awareness and drive sales.
  • Manage and enhance the company brand to reflect our commitment to innovation and quality in all markets.
  • Participate in technical seminars and trade shows that promote present sales and create future business opportunities.
  • Work closely with R&D, operation and other departments to ensure business strategies are integrated and support overall big 5 goals.

Qualifications

  • Master degree in bio chemistry, food industry, agrifood, marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or Ph. D preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of business leader experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful business development strategies in a global, B2B environment. In-depth understanding of consumer behavior and market insight.
  • High degree of energy and personal motivation with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Proficiency in English and Mandarin, both written and spoken.
