Summary:
We are a rapidly scaling, PE-backed recurring revenue company with ~5,000 employees, growing through acquisition and integration. We are seeking a Sage Intacct Consultant (Internal) to serve as the organization’s in-house expert for Intacct configuration, optimization, integrations, workflows, and reporting.
This role will partner closely with Accounting, FP&A, Operations, and IT to ensure Intacct is running at peak performance, supports our scale, and delivers high-integrity financial data. This is not an external consulting role—this is an internal systems leader responsible for driving efficiency, automation, and standardization across the enterprise.
The ideal candidate has deep Sage Intacct experience, understands accounting/FP&A processes, and thrives in a fast-paced, acquisition-heavy environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Sage Intacct Ownership & Administration
- Serve as the internal Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Sage Intacct.
- Lead day-to-day administration, including user setup, role permissions, modules, and configurations.
- Maintain the chart of accounts, dimensions, workflows, and system controls.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and scalability of Intacct across all entities.
System Optimization & Enhancements
- Identify opportunities to streamline close processes, financial reporting, and operational workflows.
- Implement best practices across AP, AR, GL, Projects, Timesheets, Purchasing, and Cash Management.
- Lead system upgrades, module expansions, and Intacct product rollouts.
- Develop automation around journal entries, consolidations, intercompany, and approvals.
- Manage integrations with payroll systems, CRM, HRIS, bank feeds, expense tools, and billing systems.
- Partner with IT to ensure stable, secure, and well-documented connections between systems.
- Lead integration setup for newly acquired entities.
Reporting & Dashboard Development
- Build and maintain dashboards for Accounting, FP&A, Operations, and Executive leadership.
- Develop custom reports, financial statements, and dimensional reporting for all business units.
- Ensure data quality and provide user training on reporting best practices.
M&A Support & Onboarding:
- Lead Intacct onboarding for newly acquired companies, including entity setup, chart of accounts mapping, and workflow design.
- Standardize accounting processes across acquisitions to ensure consistent system use.
- Support opening balance sheet loads, migration of historical financials, and parallel testing.
Cross-Functional Support & Training:
- Provide support to Accounting, FP&A, Operations, HR, and other departments on Intacct functionality.
- Build documentation, SOPs, and training materials for internal teams.
- Conduct workshops, office hours, and training sessions for new and existing users.
Qualifications:
Required
- 3–7+ years of direct Sage Intacct experience, ideally in an administrator or implementation role.
- Strong accounting knowledge (GAAP), with experience in multi-entity or multi-division environments.
- Hands-on experience configuring modules (GL, AP, AR, Cash, Projects, Purchasing, etc.).
- Experience with Intacct Dimensions, Smart Rules, Smart Events, Custom Reports.
- Ability to translate business requirements into scalable system solutions.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to partner with finance leadership.
- Strong Excel and data management capabilities.
Preferred
- Experience in a private-equity-backed or highly acquisitive environment.
- Prior experience managing ERP implementations or major system upgrades.
- Experience with integration tools (e.g., Workato, Boomi, Celigo).
- Understanding of workflow automation across Finance/HR systems.
