This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Temporary Senior Full Stack Java Developer in the United States.
This temporary role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to short-term, high-impact projects in a fully remote environment. You will design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable web applications while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including project managers, QA, and DevOps. The position requires translating user requirements into functional solutions and delivering high-quality code within tight project timelines. You will work on both front-end and back-end components, leveraging your expertise in Java, Java EE, React, SQL, and related technologies. This is a remote, full-time engagement for approximately 4 to 8 weeks, with potential for extension or conversion based on performance.
Accountabilities:
- Enhance, maintain, and extend existing system functionality.
- Design and implement new features using Java, JSP, HTML, JavaScript, React, JQuery, and SQL.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, documentation, and troubleshooting to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
- Ensure solutions align with business goals, security standards, and industry best practices.
- Deliver timely project milestones within the defined temporary assignment window.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in Java and Java EE web development.
- Strong SQL skills with experience in relational databases such as PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or MySQL.
- Front-end development expertise with JavaScript, Angular, JQuery, NPM, and CSS.
- Familiarity with Java frameworks including Struts, Spring, Spring Boot, and JSP.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, SOAP, HTTP protocols, and version control using Git/GitLab.
- Proficiency with build tools such as Maven or Gradle.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Bonus Skills: Docker/Kubernetes, test-driven development (JUnit/Mockito), Linux/Bash, Java Persistence API (JPA), cryptography/data security, DevOps processes, OWASP compliance, HIPAA/PCI familiarity.
