In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, and enhancement of advanced endpoint security software, focusing on lightweight sensors that monitor, detect, and prevent malicious activity. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver features across Windows, Linux, and Mac platforms, ensuring high performance, reliability, and security. The role requires deep expertise in OS internals, driver development, and system-level programming, with an emphasis on building scalable, low-latency systems. You will lead technical initiatives, mentor peers, and participate actively in Agile development processes. Accountabilities:
The Sr. Software Engineer II - Sensor is responsible for the development and delivery of next-generation endpoint security features:
- Lead and contribute to the architecture and development of sensor components for Windows, with shared elements across Linux and Mac.
- Design, implement, and optimize core OS features such as file system monitoring, memory management, process control, and networking.
- Debug and resolve memory corruption, process contention, and system performance issues.
- Collaborate with distributed, multi-functional teams to deliver cross-platform software solutions.
- Own features end-to-end, including design, implementation, and participation in sprint demos.
- Mentor junior engineers, provide technical guidance, and ensure adherence to best practices.
- Contribute to the development of next-generation Anti-Virus and Enhanced Detection & Response solutions.
Requirements
Candidates should demonstrate strong technical expertise and experience in system-level software development:
- Proficiency in C/C++ and Windows OS Kernel and driver development.
- Deep knowledge of low-level OS internals, memory management, and performance optimization.
- Experience shipping major features and releases in a collaborative engineering environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
- Ability to lead, mentor, communicate effectively, and work in distributed teams.
- Experience with Agile development processes.
- Familiarity with security concepts and anti-malware technologies is highly desirable.
