This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Quant Trader (Crypto) in Europe.
As a Senior Quant Trader (Crypto), you will take full ownership of managing and growing a digital asset treasury and designing innovative yield products. You will operate as a subject matter expert, combining deep technical trading expertise with strategic insights to maximize profitability and liquidity. This role involves executing sophisticated quantitative trading strategies, actively managing crypto inventories and liquidity pools, and collaborating closely with product, sales, and marketing teams. You will also monitor market trends, propose new opportunities, and ensure rigorous risk management across digital assets. The position offers a high degree of autonomy, exposure to cutting-edge crypto markets, and an opportunity to influence the firm’s product offerings and trading infrastructure. Remote work is supported, with the flexibility to operate across European time zones.
Accountabilities
- Develop, implement, and actively manage a suite of crypto yield products for on-platform and DeFi offerings.
- Strategically manage the digital asset treasury to generate yield and provide liquidity for client-facing services.
- Hedge risk exposures, including delta risk, across all treasury and yield positions using sophisticated quantitative strategies.
- Execute and quote client trades via OTC and exchange platforms, optimizing inventory and profitability.
- Monitor market conditions and adapt liquidity pool positions and funding strategies in real time.
- Provide market insights, support product innovation, and collaborate with sales and marketing on new offerings.
- Generate automated performance and risk reports using Python, SQL, and other analytics tools.
- Track and analyze market trends to proactively recommend the addition or removal of trading venues and products.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional experience in quantitative trading, with at least 3 years as a high-performing individual contributor in crypto markets.
- Proven track record of profitable crypto trading and risk management.
- Expertise in building and deploying live quantitative trading systems.
- Strong understanding of digital assets, crypto derivatives, and DeFi yield mechanisms.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL for strategy development, data analysis, and reporting.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.
- Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset for cross-team interactions.
