As Senior Manager of Software Engineering in Security, you will play a key leadership role in safeguarding platforms and infrastructures against evolving cyber threats. Accountabilities:
- Lead and develop a multidisciplinary software engineering team within the security function, focusing on scalability, efficiency, and high-quality delivery.
- Mentor and coach managers and engineers, fostering professional growth, career progression, and a culture of autonomy and accountability.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to design and implement security platforms that protect both production and enterprise environments.
- Drive strategy, execution, and alignment across engineering and security functions, ensuring pragmatic and effective solutions.
- Recruit, develop, and retain top talent, while cultivating a high-performance and inclusive culture.
- Communicate and influence across technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment on priorities and objectives.
- Champion a security culture that emphasizes enabling business objectives securely, balancing protection with operational agility.
Requirements
- 8+ years of people management experience, including 3+ years leading other managers.
- Strong background in software development with demonstrated experience in building and scaling engineering functions.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services (GuardDuty, Lambda, Kinesis, S3, SNS, SQS, EC2, etc.).
- Familiarity with Kubernetes or equivalent container orchestration technologies.
- Deep expertise in prevention, detection, response, and validation methodologies across the security lifecycle.
- Proven ability to design strategies, support complex security initiatives, and scale technical solutions globally.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders and foster collaboration.
