Senior Full Stack/Android Engineer (Remote - US)

Accountabilities

As a Senior Full Stack/Android Engineer, you will:

• Write production-level Android code using Kotlin and Java, following modern development practices.
• Lead architectural decisions and implement scalable solutions using Android Architecture Components, MVVM, and modern patterns.
• Drive adoption of best practices, including code reviews, comprehensive testing, and CI/CD workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product direction and ensure alignment with business goals.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to team knowledge sharing via documentation and technical presentations.
• Optimize application performance, reduce ANRs and crashes, and ensure exceptional user experience.
• Participate in the full application lifecycle: concept, design, build, deploy, test, and release.
• Contribute to backend development for full-stack experience where applicable.
• Stay current with Android ecosystem updates and evaluate new technologies for adoption.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of professional Android development experience.
• Expert-level proficiency in Kotlin and Java.
• Strong experience with Android Architecture Components, Dagger/Hilt, and MVVM/MVI patterns.
• Proven track record of shipping consumer-facing applications to the Google Play Store.
• Experience with reactive programming (Kotlin Coroutines, Flow, RxJava).
• Strong understanding of Android performance optimization and debugging tools.
• Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and test-driven development.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in distributed teams.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and release management.
• Bonus: experience with full-stack development, cross-platform frameworks (Flutter, React Native, KMM), or backend technologies (Node.js, Python, Go, RESTful APIs).
