We are seeking a versatile and experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to manage and evolve a cloud-based production platform supporting a global online learning environment. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of cloud services while collaborating closely with engineering teams to build, deploy, and maintain cutting-edge applications. Accountabilities:
- Manage, monitor, and support production cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Implement infrastructure-as-code using tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, or AWS CloudFormation.
- Deploy and maintain containerized microservices on Kubernetes, Docker, and AWS environments.
- Provide guidance and support to developers building student-facing applications.
- Participate in on-call rotations, troubleshooting, and resolving production incidents efficiently.
- Innovate and incorporate new technologies into the platform to improve automation, reliability, and scalability.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to teach best practices, improve operational processes, and mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience supporting production environments.
- Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS) and services, including Cloudflare.
- Hands-on development experience in Go, Python, or Ruby.
- Experience with microservices, Linux, Docker, and Kubernetes in production environments.
- Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, or AWS CloudFormation.
- Interest in systems engineering, networking, and security administration.
- Strong problem-solving, mentorship, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, continuously learn new tools, and troubleshoot complex production issues.
