We are seeking a Senior Cloud & Application Security Engineer to lead the development and implementation of best-in-class security solutions for modern, cloud-native applications. Accountabilities:
- Provide technical leadership to design and implement secure, scalable cloud-native applications and containerized microservices.
- Lead DevSecOps initiatives, including GITOps optimization, automated workflows, and infrastructure security.
- Identify risks and gaps in existing platforms and propose future-state solutions to enhance security posture.
- Architect big-data solutions to capture, analyze, and surface security events across large-scale logs and environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure application development, deployment, and operations.
- Research and leverage modern AI-assisted tools to improve security processes, development velocity, and incident response.
- Mentor and support engineering teams on secure coding practices, cloud security, and DevSecOps best practices.
- Participate in complex security investigations, intrusion detection, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in cloud security, containerization, and application security for SaaS and microservices platforms.
- Strong AWS engineering experience and proficiency in Linux environments.
- Expertise in secure software development practices using JavaScript/Node.js, Python, and/or Golang.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted coding and security analysis tools.
- Experience with DevSecOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, and automated workflows.
- Proven ability to manage large, complex projects involving multiple stakeholders under tight deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make practical security decisions under pressure.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for technical leadership and cross-team initiatives.
- Systems engineering, application development, or DevOps background, or equivalent technical expertise.
