We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Applications Developer to lead the design, development, and modernization of complex cloud-native applications. Accountabilities:

• Lead architectural design and development of complex cloud-native applications and modernization projects.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior and mid-level developers, promoting best practices.
• Implement scalable, secure, and resilient cloud architectures using modern development frameworks.
• Drive DevOps practices including infrastructure as code, automated deployment pipelines, and monitoring solutions.
• Collaborate with system architects and stakeholders to define integration strategies and ensure mission success.
• Conduct performance optimization, load testing, and capacity planning for cloud applications.
• Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies, frameworks, and tools to improve efficiency and performance.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including architecture diagrams and operational procedures.
• Lead incident response efforts and implement preventive measures for production systems.
• Ensure compliance with applicable cybersecurity and industry standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, Cybersecurity, Data Science, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in software development with significant cloud application expertise.
• Expert proficiency in multiple programming languages and frameworks.
• Extensive experience with cloud platforms and advanced cloud services (compute, storage, networking, security).
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and cloud-native design patterns.
• Proven leadership experience mentoring technical teams and managing complex projects.
• Knowledge of containerization, orchestration, and service mesh technologies.
• Experience with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates).
• Strong understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.
• Expertise in application security and secure coding practices.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Required certification: IAT Level III (e.g., CISSP, CASP+, CISA, GCIH, GCFA, CSSLP).
• Desired: Professional cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), Kubernetes, Docker, specialized security certifications.
