This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Security Engineer - Cloud Security in India.
In this role, you will be part of a dedicated security team responsible for safeguarding cloud environments and ensuring secure operations across distributed systems. You will design, implement, and maintain cloud security solutions, evaluate architectures, and guide development teams on best practices. Your work will directly impact the protection of enterprise data, applications, and infrastructure by identifying vulnerabilities, mitigating risks, and automating security controls. The position involves hands-on engineering, threat modeling, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to embed security throughout the software development lifecycle. Accountabilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations of cloud security programs, including configuration, monitoring, and optimization of security tooling.
- Conduct threat modeling, build reviews, source code assessments, manual testing, and cloud security audits.
- Identify, assess, and remediate security vulnerabilities, technical risks, and policy gaps.
- Develop and implement automated security scanning solutions, including container scanning and cloud security posture management (CSPM) tools.
- Provide guidance, training, and awareness programs for development teams on cloud security best practices and emerging threats.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, building consensus and promoting a security-first mindset across teams.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in security engineering across multiple domains including cloud, application, and network security.
- Strong operational knowledge of CSPM tools; hands-on experience with enterprise-grade CSPM solutions is highly desirable.
- Ability to assess architectures from a security perspective and create structured assessment plans.
- Experience working with product development teams within SDLC using a security-by-design methodology.
- Proficiency in scripting or programming (e.g., Python, Node.js) to automate processes or implement security controls.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred certifications: AWS Security Specialty, CISSP, or CCSP.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of collaborating with cross-functional teams and presenting technical concepts clearly.
