This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a QA Engineer in the United States.
The QA Engineer will play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of mobile applications on Android platforms. You will help design, develop, and maintain automation tools, libraries, and testing frameworks to support the full release lifecycle. This position involves both manual and automated testing of apps, collaboration with developers to improve code quality, and ownership of release processes for mobile applications. The role offers a dynamic environment where you can influence testing infrastructure, onboard new developers, and help scale the platform while working remotely across US time zones. A focus on automation, attention to detail, and strong communication skills are essential to succeed in this position.
Accountabilities
- Design, develop, and deploy tools to automate Android app quality control processes.
- Build Android libraries and frameworks to enhance test automation and review processes.
- Take ownership of the release process for decentralized applications on the platform.
- Conduct manual testing of Android apps developed by internal and third-party teams.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure robust, reliable, and maintainable code.
- Contribute to onboarding and mentoring new developers in testing best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Experience with at least one programming language such as Java, C++, or Kotlin.
- Proficiency with command-line tools (Bash, Zsh, or similar) on Linux or macOS.
- Strong scripting skills for automation within CI/CD infrastructure.
- Experience in Android instrumentation testing using JUnit, Espresso, UI Automator, or similar.
- Proven ability to work independently in small engineering teams to translate requirements into results.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Availability to work remotely within US time zones; occasional collaboration with office teams may be required.
