Principal Solution Architect - FirstRx Ecosystem - Remote

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Principal Solution Architect – FirstRx Ecosystem in the United States.

In this role, you will lead the design and implementation of strategic solutions across complex enterprise systems, driving both business and technology outcomes. You will work closely with stakeholders to identify opportunities for innovation, translate business needs into scalable architecture, and ensure alignment with organizational standards and governance. This position offers the chance to influence high-impact projects, guide solution development, and manage both current-state and future-state architecture for critical enterprise applications. You will collaborate across IT and business teams, evaluate emerging technologies, and provide thought leadership that supports digital transformation and long-term organizational goals.

Accountabilities:

• Lead architecture and solution design for projects, products, systems, shared infrastructure, and application services within the assigned domain.
• Research emerging technologies and industry trends, providing recommendations for adoption and strategic alignment.
• Engage with business and IT stakeholders to identify technology-enabled innovation opportunities that drive measurable outcomes.
• Translate business and technical requirements into detailed architectural blueprints, maintaining current, transition, and future-state architecture artifacts.
• Develop and maintain solution deliverables that guide implementation across applications, services, and systems.
• Apply architecture principles, standards, and patterns, ensuring governance compliance and quality.
• Analyze and address technical deficiencies, legacy systems, and technical debt, recommending pragmatic solutions for improvement.
• Facilitate evaluation, selection, and configuration of software and technology products to meet organizational needs.
• Provide guidance and consultation on architecture and technology decisions for the assigned domain.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support organizational objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience; HS diploma or GED required.
• 8+ years of experience in business analysis, system design and development, systems engineering, or technical architecture, including 3+ years in a direct architect role.
• Eligible to work in the United States without visa or residency sponsorship.
• Demonstrated ability to define, plan, and implement architecture strategies for assigned areas.
• Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively engage business and IT stakeholders.
• Experience handling a variety of solution types, including new system builds, legacy enhancements, COTS implementations, and cloud integrations.
• Self-motivated, capable of independent work and continuous learning.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with regulatory compliance frameworks such as HIPAA and/or PCI.
• Prior experience in PBM, healthcare, or regulated industries.
• Familiarity with Agile or Product Delivery methodologies.
• Understanding of software development life cycle and project management principles.
