Jr Data Governance & Data Scientist (Only Hispanic Latam)

This entry-level role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in data governance, quality, and analytics. You will support operational tasks related to managing, documenting, and monitoring data to ensure integrity, traceability, and consistency across analytical processes. Working closely with data and business teams, you will help maintain accurate data pipelines, apply basic machine learning techniques, and contribute to the improvement of data management practices. The position is ideal for candidates early in their data careers who are curious, detail-oriented, and eager to learn about data governance frameworks and analytics best practices.

Accountabilities:

• Monitor the quality of master, transactional, and analytical data.
• Support the standardization of data catalogs using statistical analysis or fuzzy matching techniques.
• Assist in documenting data governance policies and procedures.
• Record and maintain business and data quality rules in corporate catalogs.
• Help register and update data lineage from source systems to analytical dashboards.
• Collaborate with business and technology teams to ensure accurate and consistent data usage.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in data-related activities.
• Proficiency in Python or R for data manipulation, cleaning, and analysis.
• Basic knowledge of Machine Learning, particularly anomaly detection or data quality assessment.
• Familiarity with relational databases and SQL.
• Understanding of data quality concepts such as completeness, consistency, and validity.
• Basic knowledge of metadata and data lineage.
• Experience with Excel and BI tools for reporting.
• Desirable: familiarity with data cataloging or governance tools (Collibra, Talend, Alation, Informatica, Anjana, etc.) and introductory knowledge of data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA).
• Strong learning agility, attention to detail, and ability to work in a team.
• Proactive mindset with an orientation toward continuous improvement.
