Interaction Developer, CL Specialist (Fixed-Term)

In this fixed-term role, you will develop and enhance interactive K–12 educational content by applying your expertise in Computation Layer (CL) scripting. Collaborating closely with designers, content experts, and graph specialists, you will bring engaging learning activities to life that are both pedagogically sound and enjoyable for students. You will troubleshoot complex interaction issues, optimize performance, and ensure accessibility compliance for digital curriculum materials. Accountabilities:

• Develop, implement, and optimize CL scripts for interactive educational activities.
• Collaborate with lesson developers, graph specialists, and content teams to prototype and refine interactions.
• Conduct code reviews (“tune-ups”) to ensure correctness, performance, and alignment with teacher dashboards.
• Author and script accessibility features, including screen reader narrations, for all graph displays.
• Contribute to the maintenance and improvement of the CL snippet library and documentation.
• Explore and implement new features alongside product and CL teams.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience teaching in K–12 classrooms or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Basic proficiency in Computation Layer, including understanding of structure, sinks, sources, and syntax.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Alignment with team and company values around technology, design, and pedagogy.
• Commitment to accessibility and equity in digital learning materials.
• Preferred: 5+ years of teaching experience and high proficiency in Computation Layer scripting.
