We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer III to design, implement, and maintain enterprise network systems in a dynamic, technology-driven environment. This role focuses on advanced firewall and VPN administration while providing Tier 3 support for critical infrastructure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot complex network issues, contribute to strategic infrastructure projects, and ensure systems meet high standards of availability, security, and performance. This position offers a blend of remote work with occasional on-site engagement, enabling you to balance focused technical work with team collaboration. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Accountabilities:
- Design, configure, and maintain enterprise network systems, including firewalls, VPNs, and related infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot complex network environments and provide Tier 3, 24x7 support for critical systems.
- Contribute to strategic projects for the deployment and optimization of network infrastructure.
- Identify, evaluate, and recommend emerging technologies to improve infrastructure capabilities.
- Apply security best practices to ensure systems meet or exceed organizational standards.
- Document workflows, maintain technical records, and mentor team members on best practices.
- Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to ensure consistent, reliable, and secure operations.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in networking, infrastructure, and security engineering.
- Hands-on expertise with enterprise networking and security tools, including Palo Alto, Cisco (ASA, ISE, Nexus, UCS), F5, and VMware.
- Experience with automation/orchestration tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or Salt.
- Proficiency in compute technologies including UCS, HCI, and bare-metal systems.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience managing mission-critical infrastructure projects under tight deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative and professional approach.
- Self-starter mentality with critical thinking, mentoring, and knowledge-sharing abilities.
