This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a DevOps Engineer (Senior Application Support Engineer – Billing Applications) in India.
This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of critical billing applications in a high-impact, enterprise environment. You will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing key systems that ensure accurate and reliable billing operations. The position requires hands-on technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams. You will manage incidents, requests, and changes while contributing to process improvements and system stability. This role involves on-call support and rotational shifts aligned with EU business hours, providing exposure to global operations. You will work with a diverse technology stack, including IBM Informix, Java, C#, VB.NET, and shell scripting, and play a key part in ensuring the seamless operation of billing workflows.
Accountabilities
- Develop, maintain, and support enterprise billing applications such as IAS, IBS+, IBBR, and IBPS.
- Manage ServiceNow tickets, including incidents, requests, and change management tasks.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application issues promptly to minimize business impact.
- Write, optimize, and maintain code using IBM Informix 4GL, Java, C#, VB.NET, and Shell scripting.
- Support end-to-end billing processes and ensure application reliability.
- Participate in rotational on-call support during weekends or EU business hours.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify improvements and enhance system performance.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in enterprise application support, preferably with billing applications.
- Strong coding skills in IBM Informix 4GL, Java, C#, VB.NET, and Shell scripting.
- Hands-on troubleshooting experience with Informix database errors and complex workflows.
- Familiarity with billing processes, application lifecycle, and enterprise-scale systems.
- Willingness and flexibility to work in rotational/EU shifts.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- Preferred certifications in Java, Informix, or related technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
