The Account Manager (Junior) is a critical early-career development role that focuses on developing foundational sales, technical, and customer-facing capabilities while gaining exposure to the company’s products, markets, and industry dynamics.
Requirements
- Manage a small portfolio of low-complexity or developing customer accounts with guidance from a Senior Account Manager
- Support delivery of revenue targets for assigned accounts and contribute to overall regional sales goals
- Maintain accurate CRM data, including customer activity, opportunities, and forecasts
- Act as a day-to-day contact for assigned customers on routine topics (orders, status updates, basic inquiries)
- Build working relationships with customer contacts and support ongoing account engagement
- Work with inside sales, technical service, and supply chain teams to support customer requirements
- Coordinate responses to customer inquiries and ensure timely follow-up
- Support resolution of routine customer issues related to delivery, quality, or service
- Support the introduction of products within assigned accounts through customer follow-up and coordination
- Assist in gathering customer input for product development and improvements
- Participate in customer discussions related to product usage and applications
- Support the execution of account plans developed by Senior Account Managers
- Identify basic growth opportunities within assigned accounts and escalate as appropriate
- Gain exposure to account planning, pricing, and commercial decision-making processes
- Assist with order tracking, demand alignment, and communication of customer requirements
- Support coordination of urgent orders and basic forecasting activities
- Learn processes related to planning, inventory, and customer supply requirements
- Partner with internal teams to ensure timely resolution of customer inquiries and issues
- Communicate status updates clearly to customers and internal stakeholders
- Escalate more complex issues to senior team members
- Participate in customer meetings and internal reviews to build commercial and technical knowledge
- Support preparation for customer visits, presentations, and reviews
- Follow company policies related to pricing, commercial terms, and customer interactions
- Escalate risks or concerns related to customer satisfaction or account performance
