Job Description:
The College of Agriculture and Life Sciences is seeking a Program Specialist II to join the Dairy Records Management Systems (DRMS) team. This position plays a key role in supporting dairy producers, consultants, and industry partners by providing technical expertise, customer training, and outreach for DRMS software and reporting tools. The successful candidate will combine strong communication skills with technical problem-solving to help advance dairy herd management through data-driven solutions.
As a member of a multi-person team, this position will collaborate with partners across the U.S. to provide subject matter expertise to dairy users. Responsibilities include providing phone and on-site support for DRMS software and products, developing training materials and educational content, and conducting training sessions both virtually and in-person.
Example of Duties
Provide support for DRMS software programs including Dart, HerdHQ, PocketDairy, and Pocketmeter through phone, email, and written resources.
Train and educate customers on program use, data input, report generation, and herd analysis.
Troubleshoot software, hardware, networking, and data file issues.
Assist with interpretation of DHIA reports and data analysis for producers, consultants, and technicians.
Contribute to quality assurance efforts including product testing, program evaluation, and customer experience monitoring.
Build and maintain relationships with DHIA Service Affiliates and provide training for DHI technicians both virtually and in-person.
Conduct on-farm visits, attend trade shows, and represent DRMS at industry meetings.
Promote DRMS products to expand usage and industry impact.
