Computational Linguist Analyst

Job description

We are seeking a talented Computational Linguist Analyst to join our team and contribute to projects centered on AI-driven Machine Translation (MT). In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating MT performance, designing and implementing AI translation workflows, and optimizing translation quality across diverse domains.

As part of the Intento AI Curation team, you will collaborate with global enterprises to help them deploy, refine, and maximize the impact of our AI-powered MT solutions. You will play a key role in driving customer success while continuously improving the quality, scalability, and efficiency of our internal processes to stay ahead of industry trends.

This is a remote position, open to candidates located within the European time zone.

Requirements

Hard skills:

• Fluent in written and spoken English (Upper-Intermediate level or higher); knowledge of additional languages is a big plus.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to address both technical and linguistic challenges.

• Solid understanding of Python and hands-on experience working with Jupyter Notebooks.

• Familiarity with key Python libraries, including pandas, NumPy, requests, and working with JSON data.

• Basic knowledge of prompt engineering principles and their application in AI workflows.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate Machine Translation (MT) quality using established playbooks and internal company tools.

• Design translation workflows that integrate various AI tools to meet specific customer requirements.

• Conduct evaluations across other AI-related areas, such as text generation and voice recognition.

• Improve evaluation playbooks and methodologies based on insights gained from project experience and results.

• Propose enhancements to company tools and workflows, translating business needs into actionable requirements for R&D.
