At InHome Therapy we are committed to building exceptional partnerships that improve patient outcomes, support therapist success, and strengthen the home health agencies we serve. The Director of Strategic Partnerships plays a critical leadership role in advancing that mission by developing high-value agency relationships, driving strategic growth initiatives, and helping position IHT as the preferred therapy partner across current and emerging markets.

Summary of Primary Function/Scope:

The Director of Strategic Partnerships is a senior individual contributor responsible for developing, managing, and expanding IHT's strategic agency account relationships. This role owns a defined portfolio of strategic accounts, drives same-store visit and revenue growth, pursues multi-market expansion and account reactivation, and serves as IHT's senior point of contact for executive-level agency stakeholders. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Director provides regular strategic updates on account performance and market intelligence and contributes to the evolution of IHT's partnership strategy over time.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Build, own, and manage a defined portfolio of named strategic accounts, serving as IHT's senior relationship contact for executive-level agency stakeholders.
  • Evaluate account portfolio composition over time and recommend changes to account prioritization and strategic account criteria to the CEO.
  • Drive same-store visit and revenue growth within assigned accounts by identifying and converting expansion opportunities across service lines and markets.
  • Develop account plans for named strategic accounts, outlining growth trajectory, expansion milestones, and key relationship contacts.
  • Identify and pursue multi-market partnership opportunities within the existing account base, coordinating with Operations to ensure capacity and service readiness.
  • Lead reactivation efforts for dormant or underperforming strategic accounts.
  • Evaluate and pursue new logo opportunities on a selective basis where a prospective partner meets the criteria for strategic account designation.
  • Negotiate renewal terms and expansion agreements for named strategic accounts, escalating material commercial decisions to the CEO.
  • Monitor trends in the home health and therapy staffing landscape and translate market intelligence into recommendations for the CEO and senior leadership.
  • Partner with Marketing to inform partner-facing materials and value proposition messaging, providing market and partner perspective rather than owning content creation.
  • Partner with Operations to ensure strategic account commitments are operationally supported and service delivery aligns with agency expectations.
  • Collaborate with the Client Success team on account coordination, account health visibility, and escalation protocols.
  • Maintain accurate account documentation in CRM (Hubspot), capturing relationship status, expansion opportunities, risk signals, and next-step accountability
  • Perform additional job‑related duties as assigned, consistent with the scope and responsibilities of this position.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 7 or more years of experience in strategic partnerships, enterprise account management, or business development required.
  • Experience building or expanding a partnerships function or account portfolio in a growth or transition environment preferred.
  • Healthcare, home health, or therapy staffing industry experience strongly preferred; broader healthcare services experience considered.
  • Proven track record of driving same-store growth, multi-market expansion, or account reactivation within a named account model.
  • Experience negotiating renewal and expansion agreements with enterprise or multi-site clients.
  • CRM proficiency required; HubSpot strongly preferred.

Other Knowledge, Skills, and Capabilities:

  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple open tasks and competing priorities without losing accuracy.
  • Proactive problem identification and escalation instincts.
  • Comfortable working across internal teams with minimal supervision.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to travel 50% or more, including overnight and multi-day travel.

About InHome Therapy

At InHome Therapy, we understand the significant challenges patients face when they require therapeutic care but are limited by mobility, transportation, or simply the desire to recover in the most comfortable and familiar setting: their own home. Many of our customers, particularly seniors or those recovering from major surgery, find the prospect of traveling to a clinic multiple times a week to be a daunting barrier to their rehabilitation. This is why we built our entire model around bringing exceptional physical, occupational, and speech therapy directly to our patients' doorsteps. Our core mission is to ensure that every patient can access high-quality, personalized care that is not only convenient but also deeply integrated into their daily lives. By working with patients in their own environment, our therapists can tailor treatment plans that are practical and immediately applicable, addressing real-world challenges like navigating their own kitchen or safely using their own bathroom.

Our approach is uniquely 'therapist-first', a philosophy born from the belief that empowered, supported, and fulfilled therapists provide a superior level of care. We recognized that the home health industry often left therapists feeling disconnected and burdened with administrative tasks, taking focus away from their patients. To solve this, InHome Therapy has created a community and a robust support system for our clinical staff. We provide them with advanced tools, including tablets with data plans for streamlined electronic documentation, comprehensive training, and a dedicated back-office team to handle scheduling and logistics. This allows our therapists to focus entirely on what they do best: delivering outstanding, hands-on care. For our home health agency partners, this means they can confidently extend their services, knowing their patients are receiving consistent, high-quality therapy from a dedicated and happy team. We act as a seamless extension of their own mission, helping them to achieve better patient outcomes and satisfaction, ensuring that patients, therapists, and agencies can all rise together.
