Spain onlyAs a Field Applications Scientist, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our clinical customers across the North of Spain, providing deep technical expertise in sequencing technologies and ensuring the successful installation, operation, and optimization of our platforms. You will work closely with a dedicated on-site customer for approximately half of your time, while also supporting wider regional customers in partnership with Sales, Service, and other commercial teams.
Requirements
- MSc degree (or equivalent practical experience) in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Genetics, or a related life-science discipline.
- Previous experience in the biotechnology industry, with knowledge of Illumina applications and instruments, considered a strong advantage.
- Experience with laboratory instrumentation such as liquid handling robotics, optical scanners, and electronic devices is preferred.
- Working knowledge of commonly used data analysis software and/or bioinformatics tools is advantageous.
- Prior field-based experience supporting customers in a highly technical or scientific environment is advantageous.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.
- Proven problem-solving, interpersonal, and account management skills within a commercial or customer-facing environment.
- Excellent customer service orientation, with the ability to build trust and credibility with customers.
