Job Role: Automation and Systems Specialist (004 - 00414)
Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.
Compensation range: up to 3,000 - 3,500 AUD / Month
Contract Type: Independent Contractor Agreement; Full-Time; Remote

Who The Client Is: The client is a Brisbane-based company providing a comprehensive range of HVAC, Mechanical Services, refrigeration, and electrical solutions to commercial businesses.
Specialising in commercial projects such as schools, hospital, full turn key solutions for brand new building, preventative maintenance programs for commercial and light industrial buildings.
Role Overview: We’re looking for a high-level Automation and Systems Specialist who can help rebuild the business from the ground up using smart technology, automations, and systems. This is not a VA role, this is a technical, strategic, and business-critical position.
You will work directly with the Owner & Business Manager to transform every workflow across:
- Sales & quote intake
- Estimating & pre-builds
- Scheduling
- Operations & project delivery
- Procurement
- Communication
- Handover & documentation
- Reporting & dashboards
- Internal systems & admin
Your mission: Turn a manual business into an automated, streamlined, systemised machine.
Key Responsibilities:
- Audit manual processes across the entire business
- Build end-to-end automations in Make.com, Zapier, SimPro API, Google Workspace, WhatsApp API
- Integrate all platforms into one clean workflow
- Build internal tools, dashboards, and data flows
- Document systems and support the Business Manager in systemising the company
- Maintain and optimise automations for reliability and scale
- Proactively identify new automation opportunities every week

Requirements
- Strong Make.com or Zapier expertise
- Very strong API + webhook + JSON understanding
- Ability to write scripts (Python or JS)
- Google Workspace automation
- Systems thinking & workflow design
- Excellent documentation practices
- Experience automating end-to-end business operations
Bonus:
- SimPro experience
- Experience in construction/HVAC/trades
- Dashboard building (Looker, Data Studio, etc.)
