They are seeking a skilled API Developer specializing in Ruby on Rails to build, optimize, and maintain scalable APIs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for security, performance, and reliability of their APIs.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Ruby on Rails with proven API development experience
- Solid understanding of API fundamentals
- Hands-on experience with at least one API Gateway (Kong, Apigee, or equivalent)
- Knowledge of RESTful best practices, OpenAPI/Swagger, and API documentation tools
- Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and ORM frameworks
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
- Strong debugging, optimisation, and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and collaboration skills
