A California-based workers compensation law firm dedicated to providing comprehensive legal support to injured workers and their families.

We seek an experienced and dependable professional with legal studies or relevant administrative training who can work independently during US business hours. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, process-driven, and comfortable receiving feedback while escalating issues early. This role requires someone who is motivated, loyal, team-oriented, and culturally adaptable to US law firm workflows.

• Request, track, and follow up on medical records and legal documents to ensure timely case progression
• Contact medical offices and external providers to obtain critical documentation for workers compensation cases
• Draft routine legal correspondence and records requests with accuracy and professionalism
• Maintain organized records systems and ensure timely receipt of all case-related documents
• Provide broad generalist support across legal and case coordination functions while serving as foundational offshore hire

Requirements

  • Minimum 1–2 years of prior legal assistant experience; workers’ compensation experience strongly preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with medical records retrieval and documentation tracking workflows.
  • Proficiency with case management software and legal documentation tools.
  • Some college coursework completed or equivalent professional certification in legal or healthcare administration preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills, including the ability to draft professional correspondence.
  • Experience coordinating with medical offices, healthcare providers, and legal documentation systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple case files simultaneously with strong attention to detail and organization.
  • Background in healthcare, medical facilities, or workers’ compensation legal environments preferred.
  • Ability to independently request, track, and follow up on medical and legal documentation.
  • Comfortable supporting a foundational role with potential to assist in training or guiding future team members.
