Provide day-to-day support of client projects and assist in the development of the Equipment Qualification Program to meet established regulatory requirements. Work closely with Engineering staff, and participate in interactions with the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission.

Requirements

  • Assist in the successful design and implementation of the equipment qualification program.
  • Coordinate with design personnel to ensure new designs and design changes meet Equipment Qualification Program regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain licensing documentation in compliance with Equipment Qualification Programs, regulations, and strict quality assurance standards.
  • Interface with technical discipline teams, partners, and contractors.
  • Prepare and review technical material such as test requirement documents and specifications prepared by themselves and others.
  • Review correspondence to and from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
  • Assist with safety analysis report (SAR) revisions and preparation.
  • Prepare or review equipment qualification regulatory evaluations.
  • Ability to contribute to equipment qualification program development from blank sheet to final qualification.
  • Knowledge of and how to implement ASME Standards such as QME-1 and the OM Code is required.
  • Experience with IEEE-344 and other IEEE Standards is required.
  • Experience in Mechanical Design of commercial nuclear power plants.
  • Direct experience with vendor test facilities.
  • Awareness and current knowledge of trends and nuclear industry activities related to equipment qualification.
  • Capability and willingness to adhere to strict quality assurance standards.
  • Self-starter with ability to manage deadlines.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel) and Adobe Professional.
  • Experience in interactions with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission staff.
  • Strong communication skills.
