We're looking for an Extreme Event Research Scientist to join our dynamic Model Intelligence Team. The role will involve conducting research, evaluating vendor models, and analyzing exposure and claims data to provide insights into Hamilton's risk profile.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or Ph.D. in meteorology, engineering, hydrology, hydraulic, fire, climate Science, or related discipline.
  • Experience in catastrophe model development or validation.
  • Experience in the areas of underwriting, actuarial, or risk management.
  • Proficient in SQL, Python or R.
  • Excellent analytical and data skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
