What We Want for a Development Associate:
The Development Assistant provides administrative database and communications support to the Development Team. This entry-level role plays a key part in maintaining accurate constituent records, supporting gift processing and stewardship efforts, and assisting with communications and social media activities.
This position is ideal for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional interested in building a career in nonprofit fundraising and development while gaining exposure to a wide range of development and communications functions.

- Gift Processing and Constituent Support
- Process and record all gifts, pledges, and payments in the CRM (Blackbaud RENXT)
- Generate acknowledgement letters and stewardship materials
- Administrative and Departmental Support
- Help organize and maintain shared department files, digital assets and communications materials.
- Provide administrative support to the Development team, including scheduling assistance and meetings
- Communications and Social Media Support
- Assist with day-to-day management of social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn).
- Stewardship and Outreach
- Assist with contributor recognition programs and fulfillment of sponsorship benefits.
- Support mailings, e-blasts, and sponsor impact reports.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in administrative, nonprofit, communications, or customer support roles
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and comfortable learning new software systems.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and scheduling tools (Hootsuite, etc.).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Collaborative, dependable, and able to manage multiple tasks in a team-based environment.
