Le(la) spécialiste de la qualité chantier spécialisé en gestion des matériaux sera chargé de soutenir l'équipe de construction et de mise en service (installation sur le site) pour une excellente exécution. Il sera une référence pour la culture de la qualité et de l'excellence sur le site. Il assurera la conformité à toutes les exigences techniques de l'ingénierie pendant la construction et la mise en service.

Description d'emploi

La première mobilisation prévue sera à Baie-Comeau pour une période prolongée (1 à 3 ans). Par la suite, d’autres mobilisations sur la Côte-Nord sont à prévoir. Cet emploi est de type 21/7, donc une période de travail en continue suivi d’une période de repos. Dans ce rôle de chantier, la personne sélectionner aura comme responsabilité principale de se concentrer sur la gestion des pièces à leur arriver au chantier. Parmi les tâches critiques, on retrouve :

  • Encourager l'esprit de qualité sur le site.

  • Implanter les processus qualité sur le site, y compris, mais sans s'y limiter :

    • Le contrôle et la distribution des documents

    • Le stockage et conservation des matériaux

    • La traçabilité des matériaux

  • Soutenir la préparation de documents visant à protéger GE en cas de réclamations de tiers.

  • Collecter, vérifier et organiser les enregistrements de qualité.

  • Gérer toutes les non-conformités détectées sur le site en ce qui à trait aux pièces reçues.

  • Soutenir l'enregistrement approprié des non-conformités au fur et à mesure qu'elles se présentent.

  • Surveiller et enregistrer l'exécution des actions curatives.

  • Soutenir l'analyse des causes profondes des non-conformités détectées sur le site.

  • Diriger ou soutenir la mise en œuvre des actions correctives sur le site.

  • Diriger ou soutenir les améliorations inter fonctionnelles des processus sur le site.

  • Maintenir les inventaires à jour.

Compétences et qualifications requises

  • Diplôme d’ingénieur en mécanique, électrique ou de technique similaire.

  • Une grande rigueur en matière de contrôle de la qualité ou de processus de construction.

  • Démontre d’excellentes capaciter d’organisation.

  • Capacité et volonté de travailler à distance sur les sites de l'Hydro (fly-in/fly-out 21/7).

  • Doit être bilingue (français-anglais).

  • Doit avoir une autorisation de travail canadienne sans restriction.

  • Une expérience technique dans le secteur de l'hydroélectricité est un atout important.

The Site Quality Specialist with a focus on materials management will be responsible for supporting the construction and commissioning (on-site installation) team to ensure excellent execution. They will be a reference point for quality and excellence culture on site. They will ensure compliance with all engineering technical requirements during erection and commissioning.

Job description

The first mobilization planned will be in Baie-Comeau for an extended period (1 to 3 years). Thereafter, other mobilizations on the Côte-Nord are to be expected. This job is of the 21/7 type, so a period of continuous work followed by a rest period. In this site-based role, the selected person’s main responsibility will be to focus on managing parts as they arrive on site. Among the critical tasks are:

  • Promote a quality mindset on site.

  • Implement quality processes on site, including but not limited to:

    • Control and distribution of documents

    • Storage and preservation of materials

    • Traceability of materials

  • Support the preparation of documentation intended to protect GE in the event of third‑party claims.

  • Collect, verify, and organize quality records.

  • Manage all nonconformities detected on site related to received parts.

  • Support the proper recording of nonconformities as they occur.

  • Monitor and record the execution of corrective (curative) actions.

  • Support root cause analysis of nonconformities detected on site.

  • Lead or support the implementation of corrective actions on site.

  • Lead or support cross‑functional process improvements on site.

  • Maintain up to date inventory.

Required skills and qualifications

  • Engineering degree in mechanical, electrical, or a similar technical field.

  • Strong rigor in quality control or construction processes.

  • Demonstrates excellent organizational skills.

  • Ability and willingness to work remotely at Hydro sites (fly‑in/fly‑out 21/7).

  • Must be bilingual (French–English).

  • Must have unrestricted Canadian work authorization.

  • Technical experience in the hydropower sector is a significant asset.
