With a focus on growth and sustainability GE Vernova Grid Solutions plays a pivotable role in integrating Renewables onto the grid to drive to carbon neutral.

Due to the growth of our Grid Systems Integration portfolio (HVDC, FACTS, ACIS and associated systems), we are currently looking for our next Service Segment Leader (m/f/d) to help us define market strategy and drive a robust services opportunity pipeline across all regions globally.

Your Mission: YOU will lead global commercial growth for the Services business across the full GSI portfolio by defining market strategy. Proactively identify emerging industry and installed-base trends, drive new execution strategies to capture growth opportunities. Supports critical negotiations to secure orders and achieve volume, margin, and cash targets.

This is an IC (individual contributor) role directly reporting to the GSI Chief Commercial Officer based in the US. Functional global leadership will be a key requirement.

Main Tasks/Responsibilities:

1. Shape the Global Services Strategy

  • Build a long‑term view of the GSI Services market and installed base.
  • Analyse trends, competition, customer needs, and technology evolution across HVDC, FACTS, and ACIS (Alternating Current Integrated Solutions).
  • Translate insights into commercial priorities and contribute to the Long‑Term Strategy.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Solutions Line, and regional leaders to identify and develop growth opportunities.

2. Drive Pipeline Creation and Opportunity Quality

  • Ensure regions systematically build and maintain a transparent, high‑quality Services pipeline.
  • Standardize tools, processes, and criteria for pipeline management.
  • Support prioritization of opportunities based on win probability, profitability, risk, and strategic value.
  • Guide bid/no‑bid decisions and help balance short‑term wins with long‑term contracts.

3. Accelerate Services Growth Across the Portfolio

  • Support regions in capturing profitable installed‑base opportunities (upgrades, modernization, digital, remote services).
  • Strengthen value propositions with Services sales, Solutions Line, and execution teams.
  • Promote cross‑selling in both new equipment projects and existing accounts.
  • Participate in key customer negotiations to secure favourable terms and mitigate risks.

4. Build Strong Customer Relationships and Account Alignment

  • Lead engagement with global key accounts to deepen trust and understand long‑term asset strategies.
  • Capture VOC feedback and ensure rapid follow‑up with Solutions Line teams.
  • Align account planning and messaging with regional teams and the Global Accounts organization.

5. Lead Performance Reviews, Reporting, and Continuous Improvement

  • Run structured monthly opportunity reviews, challenging assumptions and driving action plans.
  • Deliver weekly and monthly commercial performance reports and support annual budget preparation.
  • Share best practices, conduct win/loss analyses, and drive continuous improvement in competitiveness, proposal quality, and hit rate.

Your Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Finance, Economics or related field. MBA Engineering or Economics
  • Over 10 years in the global T&D services market, with proven ability to drive Services across different industry segments
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing global or multi‑regional commercial and sales campaigns and operating rhythms
  • Solid financial and analytical skills, with experience in forecasting, pipeline management, and contract profitability
  • Experience working cross‑functionally with Sales, Services Operations, Marketing, Finance, Legal, Risk, and Project Management, and influencing senior stakeholders without direct authority
  • Ability to lead change, drive process improvements, and deliver measurable performance gains in complex, matrixed organizations
  • Excellent communication and executive‑level presentation skills; ability to synthesize complex information into clear insights and recommendations
  • Fluency in English; French & Spanish languages are a plus
  • Experience in both on-shore and off-shore systems (desired)
