The ISM Functional Leader – Process Excellence (Outage Management) is accountable for defining, governing, and continuously improving the end-to-end ISM process architecture across Event Management, Planning & Scheduling, Field Services Scope & Cost, and Demand Placement.This role leads a team of process excellence leaders to establish a standardized, Lean, and KPI-driven operating model across ITO and OTR. Partnering with Global Ops, Regional ITR, OFS, and P&ES, the leader ensures processes are not only designed but adopted, measured, and continuously optimized to improve cycle time, productivity, and execution predictability.
Acting as the bridge between business operations and digital enablement (Salesforce + ERP), this role ensures process integrity, scalability, and alignment with enterprise transformation goals.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Business Strategy & Vision: Own and define the end-to-end ISM process architecture across: Event & Project Enablement, Planning & Scheduling, Demand Placement and Outage Risk Management (including Scope Risk Assessment). Translate business strategy into standardized, scalable process models with clear ownership, inputs/outputs, and KPI enablement.
Process Harmonization & Operating Model: Lead global process standardization across regions and profit pools, establishing a single ISM operating model. Embed Lean principles and daily management to eliminate non-value-added activities and improve execution consistency. Set and track measurable targets such as: NVA hour reduction, Cycle time improvement, First-time-right execution, Automated KPI visualization.
Digital & Roadmap Ownership: Own the alignment between process design and digital enablement. Ensure Salesforce (orchestration layer) and ERP systems (systems of record) reflect standardized processes.
Transformation Delivery Partnership: Act as the single process authority in transformation programs. Co-own design decisions, validate blueprints, and ensure delivery aligns with process and leading practice standards, business outcomes, and user experience.
Change Leadership & Adoption: Drive stakeholder alignment, role clarity, and adoption across regions, ensuring new ways of working are embedded and sustained.
People & Capability Leadership: Lead a distributed team of process excellence leaders (direct staff), building strong capability in Lean transformative process design, enabled by Digital Technology. Establish functional governance, decision rights, and escalation paths to enable fast, confident execution. Ensure alignment across domains, eliminating silos and driving end-to-end process accountability rather than functional optimization.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.
10+ additional years of experience in cross functional roles supporting Commercial, Supply Chain, Field Services, Operations organizations.
3+ years of experience in a leadership role.
5+ years of experience in Gas Power Services Outage Management process
Desired Characteristics
Proven experience leading service, operations, or field service transformations across regions.
Strong background in process standardization, Lean, and operating model design.
Functional expertise with GEV Applications like Visionsuite, SMWB, ServiceMax, Salesforce service platforms and ERP-integrated environments (Oracle, SAP, or similar).
Demonstrated ability to translate business strategy into scalable digital solutions in partnership with IT.
Experienced people leader with strong cross-functional influence and executive communication skills.
For candidates applying to a Canadian-based position, the pay range for this position is between $171,200 and $256,800 CAD. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidates experience, education, and skill set.
