Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Sales team during customer meetings to present and promote our energy stability and grid utility solutions.
- Review and interpret customer specifications in order to propose the best possible solution based on our portfolio of structured solutions and products for Front End Engineering projects and new equipment services.
- Prepare clear and concise technical proposals, including any deviations from customer requirements.
- Travel within France and internationally for short periods to visit customers during tender processes or upstream phases, understand and analyze their needs, and present our solutions.
- Lead technical negotiation meetings with customers.
- Prepare cost estimates for the proposed customer solutions with the support of key contributors such as Procurement and Engineering.
- Optimize costs by challenging contributors both technically and financially, and by optimizing the proposed solutions.
- Meet tender submission deadlines as closely as possible.
- Provide technical expertise and support to Sales Managers and Commercial Operations teams by selecting, implementing, and developing competitive solutions.
- Identify technical risks and work with Engineering to mitigate them in line with GE procedures.
- Proactively stay informed about market trends and requirements, and act as the “voice of the customer” to strategically influence GE’s product/system development needs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical, power, power electronics or relevant backgrounds from an accredited university or college
- Minimum 5 years of experience in grid stability solutions for utilities
- Strong knowledge of industrial and grid application
- Ability to work autonomously in a matrix environment
- Ability to work in parallel on multiple topics and/or several different bids.
- Strong communication skills in English
