Job Title: Data Consultant

Job Description:
About the Role
You'll sit at the intersection of data, finance, and operations — turning complex datasets into clear, actionable intelligence for business and functional leaders across a global shared services organization. As a core team member on the Reporting team, you'll build and automate reports, design KPI dashboards, and help establish a culture of data-driven decision-making. This is a role for a structured thinker who's equally comfortable querying a database and advising a non-technical stakeholder.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting & Analytics
Develop and deliver reports that translate raw data into actionable business intelligence
Prepare timely and accurate KPI reports used to evaluate performance and compliance with organizational objectives
Design KPI scoring dashboards for regional business partners
Identify, retrieve, query, and aggregate data from internal and external sources to support reporting and analysis
Automation & Process Development
Develop and implement download, reporting, and process automation projects
Consult with stakeholders to define automation needs and build solutions that meet requirements
Promote standardization and documentation of processes and reports across the shared services function
Enablement & Collaboration
Train and advise operations teams on how to access and use analytical tools effectively
Partner with global data and analytics teams, as well as regional reporting consultants, to ensure consistency in approach and methodology
Act as a strategic problem solver — analyzing complex business processes and identifying opportunities to standardize, optimize, and automate
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, finance, or a related quantitative field
3–5 years of experience in a quantitative or analytical role, preferably with database administration experience
Proficiency in Power BI, Excel, Visual Basic, and SQL (required)
Working knowledge of financial reporting systems such as SAP and Business Warehouse, including the ability to develop accurate queries against complex relational data models
Experience with business intelligence and analytics tools such as Tableau, Knime, Alteryx, or Power Apps
Background in a Shared Services Centre or similar finance environment
Experience with M&A and familiarity with OTC, ATR, and PTP processes (an advantage)
