The Role:

We’re looking for a Contract Management Associate to join us initially on short term basis in our Belfast Office. As a member of our team, you will be working on a legal project for our clients and supporting the business by drafting and negotiating a wide range of contracts as part of a wider general support service to the client’s contracts management and in-house legal teams.
If you believe in being a team player, can collaborate and communicate well with technical and non-technical audiences while bringing a result-driven, focused, high energy, confident, curious, quirky, and most of all fun sense of self, then this is the place for you.

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for drafting and negotiating a wide range of Commercial Contracts
  • Working closely with our Client’s in-house legal departments on a range of matters such as international deals, bids, procurement, marketing, professional services, media, technology or consumer matters
  • Be part of a team committed to the overall delivery of services and compliance with all delivery commitments to the client
  • Active caseload management
  • Adhere to all Factor delivery processes and commitments;
  • Input and manage data on Factor and client systems and keep them up to date;
  • Help develop contract templates, playbooks and other tools for use by the team;
  • Be part of a team committed to continually improving our service to the client and adding value.

Essential Criteria

  • You are adaptable, authentic, accountable, and values-driven. You’re a team player who exhibits personal leadership and leaves things better than you found them. We’re looking for someone who always gives their best and inspires others to do the same. This role requires the legal knowledge to take instructions from our Clients, take appropriate action and serve as an escalation point on issues for more junior team members. It’s no small task!
  • In addition to the above, here are the required skills, knowledge, capabilities, and education for this role:
  • Law Degree and/or Legally Qualified;
  • Legally eligible to work in the country this role is based
  • Minimum of 0-2 years' experience of drafting and negotiating commercial contracts within a law firm, an ALSP, as part of an in-house legal team or within Factor;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Regular client-facing experience;
  • Good commercial awareness, working directly with business managers;
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite - especially Microsoft Word;
  • Organizational fit for the Factor culture - exhibiting the core values of Authenticity, Accountability, Adaptability and Stewardship;
  • Client relationship management

Desirable Criteria

  • Command of different contract types (including MSA, SOW, CDA, Amendments) is an advantage
