Software Engineer

Experior Financial Group Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer to join a high‑impact IT/Development team supporting multiple divisions across our technology ecosystem. This is a role will help to accelerate product delivery, strengthen code quality, and enhance our backend systems. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on developer who can deliver features independently, write clean and maintainable code, and collaborate effectively within a fast‑moving engineering environment.

Responsibilities:
- Write clean, maintainable, and well‑structured code across PHP and Java services.
- Build, maintain, and consume RESTful APIs to support product functionality and internal systems.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure quality, knowledge sharing, and adherence to best practices.
- Debug production issues, identify root causes, and deliver high‑quality resolutions.
- Use AI coding tools (e.g., Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code) to accelerate development while maintaining code quality.
- Validate, review, and test AI‑generated code to ensure correctness, performance, and maintainability.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders and clearly communicate technical topics to non‑technical partners.
- Contribute to documentation, including technical notes, API references, and internal guides.
Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of professional software development experience.
- Strong experience with PHP. Familiarity with Java.
- Experience building or consuming REST APIs.
- Hands on experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar).
- Proficiency with Git and modern version control workflows.
- Comfortable using AI coding tools in daily development.
- Ability to explain technical topics clearly to nontechnical stakeholders.
- Strong written documentation skills, including clarity, structure, and maintainability.

Pay Range - $100,000 - $110,000/yr USD
The compensation range reflects a data-driven estimate of starting base pay for full-time (40 hours per week) employment. Individual pay may vary based on geographic location, job related skills, knowledge, experience, education etc.
