About the Role
DXC Technology UK is seeking an experienced Network Solutions Architect to design and develop innovative network and network security solutions for our clients. In this client‑facing role, you will apply deep technical expertise, commercial awareness and architectural leadership to shape transformative solutions that meet complex business requirements.
You will act as a trusted advisor to customers, ensuring that proposed solutions are technically sound, commercially viable, and fully aligned to DXC’s delivery capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Architecture & Design
- Lead the design and development of Network and Network Security solutions for external clients, covering technology, service delivery and commercial aspects.
- Apply Network domain expertise to architect large and complex solutions, evaluating alternative approaches to meet unique client requirements.
- Develop robust sizing and costing for proposed architectures and ensure internal governance for deliverability.
- Document detailed solution designs, architecture descriptions and technical approaches.
Customer Engagement
- Serve as a Network technical expert and trusted advisor throughout pre‑sales, design, and implementation phases.
- Lead end‑to‑end presentations, workshops, and discussions during RFI/RFP cycles with internal stakeholders and customers.
- Independently articulate and interpret customer pain points—technical and commercial—to propose the right solution.
Technology Expertise
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of:
- Traditional networking: LAN, WLAN, WAN, Firewall
- Software Defined technologies: SD-WAN, SD-LAN, SDDC, SSE
- Cloud networking technologies
- Work with leading network OEMs including Cisco, HPE Aruba, Juniper, Fortinet, Check Point, and Palo Alto.
Collaboration & Commercial Alignment
- Collaborate with cross-functional solution architects, account teams, and SMEs to build winning proposals.
- Align commercial elements—SOWs, project plans, costing models—with the technical solution.
- Contribute to and maintain a repository of costing models, proposals, and development artefacts.
- Support UK secure deals and engage with business teams to understand objectives and recommend appropriate solutions.
Governance & Quality
- Ensure solution quality and alignment with DXC standards.
- Evaluate and recommend modern technology solutions to enhance efficiency and customer outcomes.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (or equivalent experience).
- Typically extensive experience in the networking domain.
- Relevant certifications in SDN and cloud networking technologies.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and project management skills.
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and collaborate effectively.
- Experience leading large-scale enterprise network architecture projects.
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
- A continuous learner who stays current with industry and technology trends.
